Who We Are
Our Mission
To fight bias, bigotry and racism and to promote respect and understanding among all through advocacy, conflict resolution and education. Our vision for America is to make it a better place for all of us.
NCCJ's goal is to transform communities to be more inclusive and just by empowering leaders. So that all people will have access to our nation's opportunities and be included in its promise.
The mission encompasses all people. The organization finds all forms of oppression, prejudice and discrimination to be wrong. Always. No form of discrimination is acceptable. Therefore, the mission includes any type of racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, xenophobia, and discrimination based on physical and mental disabilities.
NCCJ of Greater Dayton
In the 31 year history of NCCJ in Dayton, we've been successfully fighting bias, bigotry and racism whenever it occurs: from neighborhoods to schools to pulpits and to workplaces across the Greater Dayton Area.Today, the staff and volunteers focus on strategies of empowering leaders for community transformation. To that end, the Dayton Region has sharpened its focus to three leadership sectors:
- Education
- Youth
- Business leadership
